Christmas Eve

Christmas holiday was really tough this year. We wanted to make it really special for the boys, but it definitely was hard to be excited when we knew Dominic would be having surgery the next week.

We normally have Christmas Eve at our house, but this year we cancelled it because it was just too much to handle given the emotional situation we were all in. So instead of having everyone over & hosting a big dinner, we just had everyone stop in to say hello.

What we really wanted most was to have a mellow evening just the four of us. Once everyone was gone, we all watched the Polar Express, ate popcorn, & stayed up late.

We got excited for Santa & left him some cookies & carrots for the reindeer. The boys were very excited!

Dominic's MRI at CHOC Mission

This was at CHOC Mission for Dominic's first MRI.

We were pretty scared & unsure what they would find...plus it was the first time Dominic would be under anethesia.

We found out the very next day that Dominic had a cyst near his cerebellum. This was the most scary news ever because we did not know what to expect. We then got an appt with the Pediatric Neurosurgeon, Dr. Muhonen, the next day.

After meeting with Dr. Muhonen, we were faced with the most terrifying news...Dominic was going to have to have brain surgery to remove the cyst that was compressing his hearing nerve, balance nerve, & right facial nerve.

The surgery was scheduled at CHOC Orange for December 28th.

This was the beginning of our worst Nightmare!

Dominic's Christmas Party & Program

Dominic was so funny during the program... He did not even sing one time throughout the performance. He basically stood there playing with the garland & smiling at us. Even funnier, his friend Kayla did the same thing!

Baby Grieco # 3 Ultrasound Video

This is the ultrasound video of our new little one at 12 weeks. This was part of the genetic screening. The video is long, but around a minute and 40 sec. you'll hear the heart beat. Then after 11 minutes you'll see how active this little one was, already kicking & squirming around.
